This product is intended for avian ecology, migration-route, breeding-monitoring and long-range resighting projects. Colour, side position and large code follow the project key so observers can record an individual without recapture. The project approves species fit and colour combination before viewing distance, characters, side or position, code list and packing. Unengraved colour leg flags used within approved flyway and position-coding protocols. Plain flyway leg flags identify project, region or cohort through colour and leg position rather than an individual engraved code. Flag profile and wrap geometry are matched to the approved protocol. Identification is based on colour and placement, unlike engraved leg flags that carry readable individual characters. Zheye forms and marks the ring, band, collar or tag to the released programme schedule. The responsible wildlife programme selects species fit, attachment protocol and legal authorization.
