This product is intended for avian ecology, migration-route, breeding-monitoring and long-range resighting projects. Colour, side position and large code follow the project key so observers can record an individual without recapture. The project approves species fit and colour combination before viewing distance, characters, side or position, code list and packing. Species-sized leg flags with high-contrast individual codes for shorebird and wader research. Engraved leg flags combine a leg-fitting structure with a projecting visible flag. Internal diameter, flag dimensions, code size, side, orientation and colour scheme must follow the project protocol. Unlike a ring, the projecting flag carries the readable code and requires explicit left/right and orientation control. Zheye forms and marks the ring, band, collar or tag to the released programme schedule. The responsible wildlife programme selects species fit, attachment protocol and legal authorization.
